Behind the Blooms: The Heart & Craft of Our Pressed Flower Frames

Updated: Jun 19

The moment your bouquet arrives at the flower preservation studio on our farm in the Tennessee mountains, it becomes part of something really special. From the very first step, it is gently unpacked, carefully hydrated and catalogued so nothing is missed. Our team handles every bloom with care knowing these aren’t just flowers, they’re pieces of your story, tied to some of the most meaningful days of your life.

Our flower preservation press process is anything but ordinary. We’ve spent years perfecting the way we press flowers, using a blend of traditional techniques and modern refinements that help protect their shape, texture & color. Pressing flowers is an art of patience & detail. Some petals need more time, others less; some must be separated or reshaped by hand before they can be arranged into your custom pressed flower art.

Once dried, each flower goes through our color restoration process. These techniques enhance the natural vibrancy of your bouquet so that the final piece doesn’t fade. Then the design phase is where the magic happens. We offer a curated collection of high-quality frames. This includes popular options like our gold or wood frames in double glass float styles. Each bouquet is styled to complement your flowers, your space & your story. We study your bouquet, listen to your preferences & hand-design a layout that is unique to you. The result is more than just floral pressing frames, it is heirloom quality flower preservation wall decor.

What makes it all so meaningful to us? Knowing that the work we do helps preserve once in a lifetime moments like wedding days, anniversaries, memorials and milestones. That’s why we put so much time, intention and care into every single piece. So whether you’re just discovering ways to preserve your wedding bouquet or you’ve been dreaming of a frame since the day you walked down the aisle, we are here to help you tell your story through flowers lovingly pressed and beautifully framed at Stag Ridge Mercantile.
